I sense some overlap in dating history between Javier and Szelek, and not in a positive way. Seems like this round is going to go to Javier though.
Panel 1: Szelek and Javier glare at each other angrily, indicating some possible bad blood between the two. There's an effect like a power clash where their gazes meet.
Panel 2 (insert): Close up of Javier's toothy vampire smile.
Panel 3: Javier smirks while asking, "Have I broken a rule or are you just... wasting my time? Ferris is still locked arm in arm with Javier and looks somewhat puzzled by the question, or simply drunk off his butt and not following.
Panel 4: Close up of Szelek rolling his eyes in response to Javier's question, replying with "Tsk... I don't sense and compulsion.."
Panel 5: Javier responds to Szelek's admission with, "Good. Then we'll be leaving." Javier holds a hand up to his face, pulling Ferris in conspiritorially to whisper-speak to him while still locking eyes with Szelek, "Pay him no mind. He tired of flirting with the scraps left at the end of his shift." In the foreground we see Szelek reacting to Javier's comment, indicating that it's said loud enough for him to hear it. Ferris blows out a chuckle at Javier's comment with an expression of humorous pity for Szelek.
Panel 6: Ferris and Javier exit out the door into the night streets of Varrosh, laughing, mostly at Szelek's crappy situation. Szelek watches them leave with annoyance, muttering under his breath, "Dick..." and picks up his tea.

Well see this is where some of the bullshit against “monstrous entities” in the law comes into play. You’re allowed to get drunk and do stupid stuff, but because of the bloodlines of much of the staff, owner, and many regulars, they check for magical compulsion to prevent the Eventide from unwanted legal trouble.
