Panel 2: Szelek sits in his seat with the pendant effects active, crumpling the note in one hand and covering his face with blushing embarrassment. He also seems to be quietly raging in unintelligible embarrassment mutterings.

Panel 3: The room darkens and music chimes in at full blast from off screen, making Szelek look up in surprise.

Panel 4: Curtains open as Hamlin in full fancy costume takes center stage belting a song that starts, "Why have thou for-sa-ken-me!" with the backing of the orchestra. There's a full crowd in the opera, and a few familiar faces (Ferris, Marion, and Dulliath) among the orchestra.
